Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial trophy for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former number one, has had a challenging period, winning just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's initial trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt after spring of the previous year.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 championships at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a championship is really nice," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the highest level was finished.
But the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair exchanged break points in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the title with a shot at the net area, with Moutet unable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
